Wow! What a year. It occurred to me that I had really updated anyone on what has been happening this year. So, here we are, on Christmas Eve, and I'm about to do just that. :)

Short story... January, my boss quit and offspring #1 birthday. February, not much. March, DR Exercise #1 and offered the interim manager position for my team... woohoo! April, offspring birthdays. May, my birthday... yay! June, interviewed for and actually got the permanent manager position for my team... long time coming. July, Dad's birthday. August, sister's birthday. September, niece #2 birthday. October, first cruise ever, my bride's birthday, Mom's birthday. November, Turkey Day! December, Christmas and niece #1 birthday.

It has been quite a year. Usually, late on Christmas Eve, I have a little time to reflect and do a little writing. This year, I feel like, even though a lot has transpired, I don't have much to write about... well, I do, but I'm just not feeling it. I'm just tired. This year has been a whirlwind. Next week, I have the week off. Maybe I'll be in a bit more of a writing mood then, but not tonight. Actually, I'm also racing my laptop battery before it runs out.

I look forward to Christmas tomorrow. Per usual, everyone is coming here and I can't wait. In my older years, I believe some of the Christmas magic is gone, but I still love seeing my family. I love being an empty nester, but I also love seeing my kids. I do wish they would stop by more often, but such is life and the fact they all have day jobs. Anywho... I love y'all and I'll get back with you next week!
